2023 national championship · 3 straight conference titles · 15-0 in 2023
Michigan's former quarterback came home from the NFL in 2015 and spent six seasons being very good and not quite good enough — four straight losses to Ohio State, no conference title, and a 2-4 finish in the shortened 2020 season that nearly ended his tenure.
Then it turned completely. Michigan won the conference in 2021, 2022 and 2023, beat Ohio State three years running, and went 15-0 in 2023 to win the national championship — the program's first since 1997 and first outright since 1948. Harbaugh left for the NFL immediately afterward.
He finished 86-25 with a .775 winning percentage.
