On Friday, Judge Charlotte Sweeney of the U.S. District Court of Colorado granted a preliminary junction that requires the NCAA to grant another year of eligibility to athletes in the 2022 class. This landmark case stemmed from the NCAA granting 5 years of eligibility to all future athletes, causing former athletes to sue for the same benefits granted to current athletes.
